The slow fashion movement

From the amount of water it takes to make one cotton t-shirt (around 700 gallons!) to radical transparency of cost prices and factories the Americans seem to be leading the way in slow/ethical fashion with brands such as Everlane, Reformation and Zady. Forget hippy dippy, these collections are directional, sleek and beautifully made with a reasonable price tag!

Brit brands to note include  Chiniti &Parker, Riyka and at the luxury end; Stella McCartney.  H&M are doing it on a mass scale with their conscious collection so it’s only a matter of time for it to catch on else where. Here’s my edit…
